Aeroball (mobile-optimized)
The controls in this game are simple: tap, click, or press any key to move right, and release to move left. When you collect a shoot power-up, you have to tap, click, or press any key and then quickly release in order to to shoot. Each shoot power-up (red orb) gives you 3 more shots. You can store 9 shots at a time at most. The shield power-up (green orb) makes you invincible to one obstacle, then destroys the obstacle and times out. Each coin power-up (yellow orb) increases you score by 15, and your score also increases by 1 every half second. There is also a pretty awesome power-up (blue orb) that you need at least 6 bullets to get, good luck getting it :)
This is an infinite game, try to make it as far as possible!
There are 8 different types of obstacles:
1. Blockade (purple): Moves downwards normally.
2. Pulse (yellow): Grows and shrinks in a set pattern.
3. Rotate (green): Rotates on a center axis.
4. Ticker (orange): Turns off-axis every half second.
5. Wobble (pink): Shakes slightly while wobbling back and forth.
6. Ricochet (light blue): Bounces around your screen for 5-10 seconds before disappearing.
7. Turret (black): Moves back and forth across the top of your screen, shooting every 1.5 seconds. It does so for 5-10 seconds.
8. Speeder (dark blue): Gradually speeds up as it zooms up and down while maintaining a fixed horizontal position.
This game was made in under 48 hours.
My highscore is 731. How far can you go? :)

Hiya! I'll be playing Aeroball tomorrow on stream along with several other games from Untitled Game Jam #38 at 3:30pm EST. I'll be talking about any interesting design decisions as I play, and suggesting improvements if any come to mind. Please feel free to join me live, it'll be extra fun to chat together about your game while playing it :)
Thank you so much! I'll be sure to be there :)
